Purpose Statement
To bring glory to God as we serve in reaching out to Mus!ims in Canada. We will network and/ or partner with others who share one or more of our emphases.
Core Values
Unity & Synergy for more efficient work -“Two are better than one and a strand of three cords cannot be quickly broken.” Ecclesiastes 4:8-12
We are a network of diverse people with a common goal of seeing all Mus!ims become disciples of Jesus, not a uniform organization of sameness in ministry approaches.
Believers of both Mus!im and non-Muslim backgrounds are better served to have forums for interaction and cooperation, rather than separate isolated ministries.
The local churches are mainly responsible for the Mus!ims living in their neighbourhood, and ministry specialities are most useful when working as servants to or partners with the local church.
We believe the missional approach is to go to them and not wait for them to enter our churches.
Acts 15 shows the heart of God to not make others become like us in taste, culture, or even religious practises in order to enter the kingdom of God. Canadian churches need help in removing fear and stumbling blocks of the gospel through cross-cultural ministry training.
We see reaching Mus!ims as a process, and Jesus’ goal is changing lives – counting disciples, not decisions.
We're not interested in "converting them to Christianity" with all it's cultural trappings, but rather pointing them to the living God through the only mediator between God and man - the man Messiah Jesus. (1 Tim.2:5)
Why do we care about "Mus!ims"? We're not talking about loving the religion. Perhaps we don't feel a heart tug for some impersonal group of people, but we DO want to care about Ahmed, about Yusif, Ibrahim, Mohammed - the PEOPLE just like us, who share an equal need of forgiveness, grace, a clean heart to serve God and others.
